What tests occur during a women’s health visit?
During your women’s health appointment, Dr. Cortez-Sammons often recommends specific screening and diagnostic tests. This may include a Pap smear, mammogram, or a DEXA scan to assess your risk of osteoporosis. A DEXA scan is a noninvasive test to measure your bone mineral density.

How often do I need a Pap smear?
